The NRM chairman for Rubaga, Ivan Kamuntu, alias Majambere was on Thursday afternoon involved in an accident on President Museveni’s campaign trail.
The accident happened at Nadiang along he Kitgum- Gulu road as Kamuntu who was travelling from Kitgum where he had attended President Museveni’s rally rushed to Kampala to attend to other errands.
The driver of the vehicle , a Toyota Harrier ,registration number UBH 215F lost control and veered off the road.
“My driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to save a motorist abruptly. The vehicle swerved off the road but while the motorist was saved, my driver sustained serious injuries and is in critical condition,”Kamuntu said on Friday.
The driver has since been transferred to Kampala for better medical attention
